New Digitalization Regime for Proceedings Before the IGJ
On July 1, 2026, General Resolution IGJ No. 7/2026 was published in the Official Gazette, whereby the General Inspection of Justice (IGJ) established a new digital framework for the receipt and processing of filings before the agency. Its purpose is to advance the digitalization of administrative procedures by centralizing filings and case management on a single platform.
Main Provisions
The Resolution creates the IGJ Online Open Documentation System (the “System”), designed to enable the digital processing of filings that must be submitted to the IGJ in connection with its registry and supervisory functions.
Filings submitted through the System will have the same legal effect as those submitted in paper format, which will be phased out progressively.
Access to the System is available through the IGJ’s official website and requires an ARCA Tax Identification Password (Clave Fiscal) with Security Level 3 or higher, which serves as the authentication mechanism and electronic signature pursuant to Law No. 25,506.
All documentation must be submitted under a sworn statement by the filer, who assumes responsibility for its authenticity and integrity.
Each filing generates an electronic case file, which constitutes the sole official repository of the submitted documentation. Notifications will be sent to the electronic domicile established within the System and will have full legal effect.
The System will be implemented gradually. During the transition period, the digital system will coexist with the paper-based filing regime.
The Resolution also provides for the issuance of technical and operational guidelines by the competent IGJ departments to support the implementation of the System and regulate procedural aspects.
The Resolution will enter into force on the day following its publication. However, its effective application to each type of proceeding will depend on the implementation schedule established by the IGJ.
